In the 9th game of the tour, Australia 4 for 196 c.c off 45 overs defeated Cheshire 10 wickets for 137 off 41.4 overs.

Match Report…
The day after the First Test loss to England yesterday, the team was keen to get back into action. While a more relaxed game ensued, it provided a number of players carrying some niggling injuries with some time on the park.

Australia scored 4 for 196.
Best batting performances: Wijeratne run out for 43 off 75, Lanigan 54 retired off 51, Stokes LBW 18 off 37, Harrison 38 n.o. off 29, Richardson 21 n.o. off 21.

Cheshire showed some early promise but the strong Australian bowling and disciplined fielding brought about consistent wickets. Cheshire were all out for 137 off 41.4 overs.
Best Australian Bowlers: Bennett 7 overs 4 maidens 3 wickets for 14 runs, Christiansen 6.4 overs 1 maiden, 3 for 20, Lyon 7 overs, 2 for 21. Good effort by wicketkeeper Carr with a catch, a run out and a stumping
