Match Report – Australian Innings
The Australian Captain won the toss and chose to bat. The wet ground and pitch conditions produced a slow start and two early wickets.
2 for 23 off the first 10 overs.
The ball was staying low and nipping around a bit; this caused defensive batting. Russell played a cameo knock with 21 off 41 balls.
3 for 51 off 20 … slow going.
At the half way drinks break 3 for 60. After drinks, Quinn in particular took to any loose bowling and brought the score along.
3 for 77 off 30.
Shortly after, Quinn was bowled for 32 off 57 and then Stokes went for 35 off 81.
6 for 131 off 40 overs.
In an effort to up the scoring rate we consistently lost wickets and were all out for 147 off 44.4 overs. Nothing to write home about, but a score to defend.

Lincolnshire Innings
Christiansen opened the bowling . An interesting first over which included a 4, then 2, then bowled; good start. Saker from the other end bowled with good line and length. In Christiansen’s 4th over a double wicket maiden.
3 for 21 after 10, (comparison Australia was 2 for 23 off 10) …. game on.
Christiansen picked up another wicket to have 4 for 18 off his 9 overs ….. great spell.
4 for 43 off 20 overs (comparison, 3 for 51) …. game still on.
Just on drinks Russell picked up a wicket and with only 52 on the board the hosts needed a big innings or two. Over the next 7 overs Harrison and Lanigan both picked up wickets. Not looking too promising for the hosts, a miracle is needed.
7 for 61 off 30.
2 wickets to Henry
9 for 74 off 40
A wicket to Dedman – All out for 74 off 40.2 overs
